Free Bishops Overseas Travel Insurance
THE POLICY
Catholic Church Insurances Limited issues a free Bishops Overseas Travel policy to all Australian residing Catholic Bishops, Archbishops, Auxiliary Bishops and Retired Bishops.
DEDUCTIBLE/EXCESS
A $50 excess exists on each of these sections:
- Cancellation, overseas medical and extra expenses.
- Luggage, personal effects, travel documents and money.
- Missed transport connection.
LIMITS OF LIABILITY
- Cancellation, overseas medical and extra expenses $200,000.
- Luggage, personal effects, travel documents and $6,000.
- Money $500.
- Travel delay $750.
- Missed transport connection $1,500.
- Resumption of journey $3,000.
- Hijacking and kidnap $15,000.
- Credit card benefit $2,500.
- Legal expenses $5,000.
IMPORTANT POINTS
- Liability cover is not included in this cover, as each Bishop is automatically covered for liability under their diocese (or eparchy or ordinate) public liability policy.
- This policy is for overseas travel only, therefore any travel within Australia is not covered by the policy.
- The policy period for each certificate issued is from 1 July to 30 June.
TAKING OUT A POLICY
Each year every Australian Catholic Bishop is automatically issued a free annual Bishops Overseas Travel policy.
