Free Personal Accident Insurance - Religious and Priests
THE POLICY
Catholic Church Insurances Limited issues a Free Personal Accident policy to all Australian Catholic Priests and Bishops and to all Religious Orders (provided that the Order's insurance are with Catholic Church Insurances Limited).
WHO NEEDS THIS COVER?
All Australian resident Catholic Priests, Bishops and Religious Orders.
DEDUCTIBLE/EXCESS
No excess is applicable to this insurance.
LIMITS OF LIABILITY
The maximum amount payable under this policy is $10,000.
The policy covers events such as death, loss of sight in eye(s), loss of use of hand(s), foot/feet, arm, leg, finger(s), toe(s), loss of hearing and permanent disablement. All events must be the result of an accident and are limited to $10,000 maximum.
In addition, we will pay up to $2,000 for non Medicare medical expenses (such as hiring of surgical aids or appliances), provided such benefit is not prohibited by Australian legislation.
IMPORTANT POINTS
- The policy period for each certificate issued is from 30 September for 12 months.
- This cover is limited to compensation payable only if an accident occurs. No illness cover is provided.
- For the religious, only one policy is sent to the house where they reside and it automatically covers all of the religious in that house.
- For the clergy, a policy is sent to each individual clergy member.
TAKING OUT A POLICY
Each year Catholic Church Insurances Limited send out a Free Personal Accident policy to each Catholic religious house and to all clergy.
